'My heart goes for...': Shoaib Akhtar suggests Pakistan's replacement as Asia Cup 2023 hosts

While the Asia Cup 2023 hosting issue remains unresolved, legendary Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has suggested a viable replacement if the tournament is moved out of Pakistan.

The Rawalpindi express who is currently in Doha for the Legends League CRicket said that either the tournament should be held in Pakistan or moved to Sri Lanka who were the winners of the last edition of the tournament. 

He further said that he wanted to see India and Pakistan playing in the finals of the Asia Cup and World Cup which are scheduled to be played later this year. 'Nothing else should happen in world cricket just India and Pakistan finals, he said. 

India and Pakistan cricket boards are at loggerheads over the hosting rights of the Asia Cup 2023 tournament. While PCB has the hosting rights for the marquee event, BCCI has refused to travel to the neighbouring nation for the tournament.
