Former India selector Sunil Joshi found himself in the line of fire for selecting Suryakumar Yadav at number 3 and leaving out Cheteshwar Pujara in his playing XI for India vs Australia 1st Test.

His suggested playing XI was heavily criticised on social media with former India cricketer Dodda Ganesh also without naming Joshi wrote that 'the audacity to even think that one can replace Pujara with someone who’s yet to play a test, boggles my mind.'

Sunil Joshi along with other selection panel except chief selector Chetan Sharma, was sacted by the BCCI after India's poor show at the T20 World Cup 2022.
