Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj S Chouhan on Thursday said the state government will approach the Supreme Court against the high court order that restricts political rallies in the state in view of the coronavirus pandemic, ahead of the coming by-elections in 28 seats.
Pointing out how political rallies are being held in Bihar every day as the state prepares to go to polls, Chauhan said there can't be such contradicting legislation in one country.
The high court on Tuesday restrained district magistrates in 9 districts from giving permission for any physical public meeting, while observing ‘health and life of a common man is more precious compared to the right to campaigning for a candidate'.
