Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took a jibe at the government over the latest IMF growth projections that show Bangladesh is set to beat India in terms of per capita GDP.

The IMF sees India's per capita GDP falling to $1,877 in 2020. For Bangladesh, the corresponding figure is seen growing to $1,888. If IMF's forecast hits the mark, India will only be ahead of Pakistan and Nepal in the South Asia region.

The opposition leader hit out at the government saying it was the doing of BJP's 'hate-filled cultural nationalism'.
