Since 2019, the coronavirus has been affecting the world and life as we know it, and just when we thought 2022 might be a little different, the virus spike occurred once more.
Covid had a big impact on Mumbai's tinsel town as well, as celebrities began testing positive for the virus every day.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and her bestie Amrita Arora, who came down with Covid after attending a dinner party at filmmaker Karan Johar's house in Mumbai's Bandra, were the first celebrities to reveal that they had tested positive for the virus shortly after the threat of Omicron variant began to loom over us. The intimate dinner was also attended by Arjun Kapoor, and the other two divas, who also tested positive, Maheep Kapoor and Seema Khan.

Later, Arjun Kapoor, who battled Covid-19 during the second wave, has also been infected with the deadly virus once more. He revealed the news last year after his beau Malaika Arora tested positive for coronavirus. This time, the virus has also infected his sister Anshula Kapoor and cousin Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani.

Following that, more and more cases from Bollywood began to emerge. John Abraham and his wife Priya, Nora Fatehi, Mrunal Thakur, Ekta Kapoor, veteran actor Prem Chopra and his wife Uma and Sonu Nigam are among the celebrities who have lately tested positive for Covid.

Many B-Town celebrities tested positive for COVID-19 during the second wave, after they had resumed shooting and were back to their normal routines, including Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Govinda, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Paresh Rawal, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Manish Malhotra, Arjun Rampal, Varun Dhawan, Genelia Deshmukh, Bappi Lahiri, Sonu Sood among others.
No one has been spared by the novel coronavirus, even actor Amitabh Bachchan and his family. While both Abhishek and his father were hospitalised in Mumbai’s Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, Aishwarya and daughter Aaradhya were in home quarantine. Aishwarya was subsequently sent to Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital for treatment.
Throughout his hospital stay, Big B expressed gratitude to his extended family for their prayers, wishes, and blessings. The actor even wrote a blog about how the condition impacts the mental health of patients.
