Marvel star Simu Liu has married his fiancée Allison Hsu in France, more than a year after the couple got engaged in Paris.
The 37-year-old actor, known for his role in 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings', and 30-year-old Hsu, a digital marketing director at Interscope Records, exchanged vows in France, according to People magazine. The couple had announced their engagement in Paris in May 2025.
Liu and Hsu first sparked dating rumours in November 2022 and made their red carpet debut later that month at the Los Angeles premiere of 'Violent Night.'
Throughout their relationship, Liu has often shared his affection for Hsu publicly. In August 2023, the 'Barbie' actor posted a birthday tribute for Hsu on Instagram, writing, "Whether we’re on another crazy trip to god-knows-where for who-knows-what, or just binging our way through friends at home, there’s simply nothing better than holding your hand."
The couple announced their engagement from a balcony in Paris, marking a major milestone in their relationship. The announcement showed Hsu wearing a large diamond ring and was accompanied by the caption, "Us forever."
The proposal also had an unexpected Taylor Swift connection. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Liu revealed that he reached out to Swift’s team because Hsu is a devoted fan and the singer’s music had been meaningful during the early part of their relationship.
Swift responded with a personalised video congratulating the couple. Liu said the gesture left his fiancée completely speechless.
