In a season of changed political posturing in Bihar, where elections are to be held, Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav appears to be cozying up to NDA dissenter Chirag Paswan, who left the ruling alliance in the state owing to his differences with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Tejashwi, who is the de-facto RJD chief, spoke in favour of Chirag who recently lost his father Ram Vilas Paswan. After claiming that Chirag’s LJP was contesting on many seats just to help the BJP by triggering a division of votes, Tejashwi on Monday said Nitish had done injustice to the LJP chief at the time when he needed his late father more than ever. Chirag had in a recent interview talked about how he felt hurt after Nitish refused to join his father as he was to file nominations of the Rajya Sabha last year. The Chief Minister, Chirag had claimed, had not offered condolence to him or to his mother.
