Underground subways in Ukraine, which have become shelters amid Russia's unrelenting attack, turned into a concert hall on March 26.

In the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which has seen horrendous violence due to Russian shelling, musicians performed for people at a subway. Ukraine's national anthem, classical music, and adaptations of Ukrainian folk songs were reportedly played.

The prestigious Kharkiv Music Fest was cancelled this year due to the war. Director of the Music Fest hailed the subway concert.

Sergiy Politutchy said, "Amid the darkness surrounding us now, it's extremely important to show that there are eternal values and a future in our country, that our country is melodious, beautiful, intellectual and will overcome all these difficulties. We believe that the rise of national spirit and the culture filling our hearts will help us overcome the hardship of these dark times."
