Days after Elon Musk bought Twitter, former US President Donald Trump made his social media move.

Two months after Trump launched his own social media platform called Truth Social, the businessman-turned-politician finally made his first post on the app.

Trump was banned from Twitter in 2021 over the Capitol Hill riots. The ex-President had been accused of inciting violence.

On his new platform, Trump posted, “I’m back! #covfefe.” The hashtag was a reference to an old tweet of Trump’s that was heavily mocked.

Earlier, Trump had said that he won’t return to Twitter even as Elon Musk has promised greater freedom of speech on the platform.
