Ahead of the big-stake UP elections next year, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has ruled out an alliance with the BSP. In an interview to NDTV, the former UP CM, without naming Congress or Mayawati's party, said that his experience with the big parties has not been good and his SP will not enter into any alliance with them. He, however, said that SP will ally with smaller parties in the polls.

The much-hyped SP-BSP alliance before 2019 general elections failed to make any political impact and fell apart after the polls.

Hitting out at the BJP, Akhilesh said that the Yogi government has failed on all fronts and expressed confidence that SP will return to the power with a thumping majority.
