Tokyo Olympics: Mary Kom & Manpreet Singh to be India's flag-bearers

Indian Olympic Association on Monday announced that 6-time world champion boxer MC Mary Kom and men's hockey team skipper Manpreet Singh will be India's flag bearers at the Opening Ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics.

Apart from them, wrestler Bajrang Punia will be the flag bearer at the Closing Ceremony of the Tokyo Games on August 8. IOA also announced that India will be sending a 201-member contingent to the Summer Games, which include 126 athletes and 75 officials.

IOA President Narinder Batra had earlier confirmed that they were planning to send the first batch of Tokyo-bound athletes on July 17 as the opening ceremony is scheduled for 23rd.
