Reports suggest that Elon Musk wants to bring back Vine, a short video platform owned by Twitter that was shut down in 2016.

According to Axios, the reboot could be ready by the end of the year.

For those unaware, Vine was one of the pioneers of the short video format which TikTok currently dominates. Twitter took over the platform in 2012, only to discontinue it 4 years later.

Since short videos are all the rage right now and even Instagram and YouTube are getting into it, there has never been a better time for Vine to come back, if it ever does.

Recently, Twitter employees were also told they had until November 7 to implement a program that would force a monthly fee for Twitter's blue check marks or they'd be fired.

Elon Musk took over Twitter last week in one of the most turbulent corporate battles. He has fired all the top management, including CEO Parag Agrawal.
