The blockbuster clash between India and Pakistan might turn out to be a flop due to the weather conditions in Melbourne. While the arch-rivals will battle it out in their first Super 12 game of the T20 World Cup on Sunday, chances of heavy rain might hamper the much-awaited game.

According to the local Met department, there is an 80 to 90 percent chance of rainfall, the volume of which could be between 1mm to 5 mm. Moreover, there is a 13% chance of thunderstorm as well.

While the Ind-Pak clash is on Sunday, there was a sharp spell of shower in Melbourne on Friday evening. As per the locals, however, the chances of the match getting washed out are comparatively less and it could be a curtailed match instead.

In case the rain gods do play the spoilsport, the Victoria state cricket body might have to refund the full price of tickets as per terms and conditions.
