UP Kabaddi Players Served Food In Toilet : In a video that is doing the rounds on social media, UP state level Kabaddi players had their food served to them in the toilet. The video was reportedly shot by the players themselves on September 16 and shows players serving rice and vegetables to themselves in a toilet. The players had come for the U-17 State level Kabaddi tournament.
The rest of the food was lying on the ground on a piece of paper. Saharanpur Sports Officer Animesh Saxena has been suspended by the State government and the latter also gave a statement regarding the situation.
"There were complaints of bad arrangements. The district sports officer has been suspended. I have ordered an enquiry and the concerned person will submit a report in three days. We will take appropriate action," said Akhilesh Singh, District Magistrate, Saharanpur.
Suspended Animesh Saxena had also given his clarification earlier where he said "The food was kept in the changing room next to the swimming pool. Some construction work is being done in the stadium and there was no other place to keep the food because of rain"
