Niclas Fullkrug proved to be the saviour for Germany as his late strike helped Hansi Flick's men earn a 1-1 draw vs Spain and keep their hopes of making it to the knock out stage of FIFA World Cup 2022 alive.

Alvaro Morata broke a 62-minute deadlock when he put Spain ahead and it seemed that they will secure all 3 points.

But Fullkrug made sure that Germany secured a point as he equalised in the dying minutes with a stunning strike.

Germany are still at the bottom of Group E with just 1 point from 2 games. Hansi Flick's side need to defeat Costa Rica in their final Group E game and hope Japan do not pull off a shock win against Spain, in order to make it to the knockouts.
