Former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad hit out at India's selection calls for the series against Sri Lanka.

In a series of tweets, Prasad said it is unfair to leave out Ishan Kishan in favour of Shubman Gill, considering the keeper-batsman scored a double hundred against Bangladesh.

Prasad claimed the reason India have underperformed in limited-overs cricket is due to this constant chopping & changing, where 'X factor is dropped and mediocrity is retained'.

He also said he was baffled by India's decision to drop Rishabh Pant, who scored a hundred in England, while KL Rahul kept his place despite failing consistently.
