What happens when you pit two gun bowlers against one another? Who would you pick?
That's the tough choice Ricky Ponting had to make when he was asked to pick one among Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistan's bowling sensation Shaheen Afridi.
Keeping in mind the T20 World Cup Down Under, Aussie legend Ricky Ponting chose Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah over Shaheen in the face-off.
The 47-year-old made the choice on the ICC Review show where he was made to pick between two players, who will be participating in the marquee event in Australia.
Both players have exceptional bowling records. While Bumrah has 69 wickets in 58 matches, Afridi has managed to pick 47 wickets in 40 matches so far.
The former Aussie skipper explained his decision as well - "I will probably go on experience alone - I’ll go for Bumrah. He’s played a fair bit of cricket in Australia now, played more in Australia than Afridi and has played more big tournaments as well than Afridi has.”
Bumrah & Afridi will both lead their bowling attacks when India & Pakistan face off on October 23 at the MCG
