Rishabh Pant made the cricketing world sit up and take notice of his batting on Friday when the southpaw smashed his 5th Test hundred in the 1st innings of the Birmingham Test vs England. His innings left many including Paul Collingwood in awe as the former England skipper doffed his hat off for Pant.

'When you play against world-class players, they can do world-class things. And today he had his day,' added Collingwood.

Pant came into bat with India in trouble at 71/4 and counter attacked in his trademark style. He then stitched a 222-run 6th -wicket partnership with Ravindra Jadeja before departing for a fiery 146.
