After a superb show in the 5-match T20I series against South Africa, Dinesh Karthik has made a massive jump in the latest ICC T20I rankings, leapfrogging 108 positions to take the 87th spot.
Karthik emerged as a prolific match-winner for India during the five-match series against the Proteas. The 37-year-old Tamil Nadu batter won India the Rajkot match to level series, slamming his maiden T20I fifty, 16 years after first making his debut.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan is the only Indian player among the top 10 batters. Having scored 206 runs in five outings, the 23-year-old is now 6th in the rankings.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues to lead the list followed by his compatriot Mohammed Rizwan. Aiden Markram, who missed the India T20Is after testing positive for Covid-19 is third. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and former skipper Virat Kohli occupy the 18th and 21st spot respectively.
