If the Babar Azam-led Pakistan team will be missing the services of Shaheen Shah Afridi, India will be without their ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah; this evidently balances out the situation on both sides. Highlighting this, former India cricketer Irfan Pathan responded to former Pakistan cricketer Waqar Younis’ sneering remark about how the 22-year-old pacer’s absence from the Pakistan team will be a relief for the Men in Blue.

Pathan took to his Twitter and wrote, ‘It’s a relief for other teams that Bumrah and Harshal aren’t playing this Asia cup!’

While Bumrah was ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup due to a back injury, Harshal Patel is under rehabilitation for his rib injury that he suffered during the 1st T20I against West Indies. India and Pakistan will begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign against each other on 28th August.
