Asia Cup 2022: VVS Laxman to be interim coach as Dravid recovers from Covid

VVS Laxman, the National Cricket Academy head has been appointed as Indian cricket team's interim coach for the upcoming Asia Cup, BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced on Wednesday evening. 

India's head coach Rahul Dravid is currently under isolation after contracting Covid-19. He is expected to join the squad in UAE after he tests negative for Covid-19 and given clearance by the BCCI medical team, board officials informed further

The NCA head had also travelled with the Team to Zimbabwe for the 3-match ODI series that India won 3-0. Laxman, KL Rahul, Avesh Khan and Deepak Hooda who were in Harare, Zimbabwe have joined the Indian squad in UAE.
