Hugely credited for India's bench strength, national Cricket Academy chief Rahul Dravid feels that it was only possible because the young cricketers got reasonable opportunities. The high-spirited former cricketer who monitors the Under 19 team and India A team will accompany the Indian contingent in Srilanka as the head coach.
While talking to ESPNCricinfo, Dravid who is popularly called 'The Wall' said that he tells all his Indian A team players that if they have come along with him, they won't leave without playing a game.
Recalling his playing days, Dravid pointed out that there was a lack of awareness. There was no access to proper coaching, fitness assistance, we were starved of knowledge, he said.
