The government has warned Twitter over its location settings showing Leh in China. Electronics & IT Ministry Secretary, in his letter, has asked Twitter to respect sensitivities of Indian citizens. It states that any attempt by Twitter to disrespect sovereignty and integrity of India, which is also reflected by the maps, is totally unacceptable and also unlawful. Earlier, the geo-location of Leh, which is the largest town in the union territory of Ladakh, was shown on Twitter as part of China.
