Even as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia claimed a "clean chit" after CBI searches, their former mentor Anna Hazare attacked them in a scathing letter.

Social activist Anna Hazare accused Kejriwal of being intoxicated with power. Hazare criticised the Delhi government's Excise Policy 2021-22, which has been scrapped but is being investigated by the CBI for alleged irregularities.

Manish Sisodia is an accused in the alleged liquor scam, and his bank locker was searched by CBI on 30 August.

Hazare said that instead of implementing a strong Lokpal and anti-corruption laws, the Aam Aadmi Party government brought in an "anti-people" and "anti-women" liquor policy.

In response,Arvind Kejriwal said that since the CBI had admitted that there is no scam in Delhi, BJP was firing off Hazare's shoulder to hurt the AAP.
