Amid continuing attacks on civilians by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army chief General Manoj Pande commented on the security situation in the Union Territory, as well as the disputed border.

Gen Pande said that the 2021 ceasefire understanding with Pakistan is "holding well", but terror infrastructure across the disputed border is still operational.

Amid concern over targeted attacks on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir - most recently in Rajouri - the Army chief said that there has been a "marked reduction in violence parameters".
