According to Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has collected ₹52.95 crore in India on its opening day.
The film has surpassed the opening day records of Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff's ‘War’ and Aamir Khan's ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ follows the story of Yash's character Rocky after he takes over the Kolar Gold Fields.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty and Raveena Tandon in pivotal roles.
