Following the heart-wrenching news of the Texas shooting in which around 19 children and two adults were killed, several celebrities took to social media to express anger over the lack of gun control.

Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift said she was 'filled with rage and grief' as she shared a video of Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr speaking out about the incident in a press conference. 'By the ways in which we, as a nation, have become conditioned to unfathomable and unbearable heartbreak. Steve's words ring so true and cut so deep,' she wrote.

Academy Award-winning actor Julianne Moore shared a tweet by Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand, on Instagram, which called the school shooting 'man-made acts of inaction, cowardice, and corruption by lawmakers.'

Chris Evans, known for his role as Captain America in the Marvel series, tweeted with rage, saying this was 'enough.'

Singer Selena Gomez also expressed frustration over the horrific killings on Twitter, asking 'If children aren't safe at school where are they safe?' She further stressed that those in power need to change the laws to prevent such shootings.

Priyanka Chopra shared a BBC article on the incident and said that 'Condolences are not enough. More needs to be done.'

'This is Us' actor Mandy Moore also emphasised that action should be taken in this incident. 'Uvalde, your entire community is in out hearts,' she wrote.

Other celebrities who condemned the Texas shooting on social media, include Gabrielle Union, Mindy Kaling, Alyssa Milano, Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Shailene Woodley and Rosanna Arquette.
