Actor Swara Bhasker and political activist Fahad Ahmad recently tied the knot and registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act. As soon as the actor announced the news, an old tweet of hers resurfaced and netizens were quick to troll her. In the tweet, she referred to Fahad as ‘bhai’ (brother).
The tweet, which is now going viral on the internet, was posted less than a month after the couple had registered their marriage. Many mocked the actor for calling her husband ‘bhai’.
After being trolled, Fahad has now reacted to the matter. He wrote in Hindi, ‘Jokes apart. The right wingers agreed that Hindu and Muslim can be brothers and sisters. Now, accept that husband and wife can joke too.’
Swara Bhasker announced her marriage with Fahad through a video montage of their journey and cute moments. She also added pictures of their court marriage papers in the video. She had also dropped pictures from their wedding celebrations with friends and family in which they can be seen twinning in maroon outfits and are all smiles.
