Netflix’s recently released comedy horror series ‘Wednesday’ has become the most-watched English language series in a week, surpassing ‘Stranger Things 4’, according to the streamer’s internal data measurement. The show, which was released on November 23, has garnered almost 341.2 million hours of viewership already.
The series is currently trending on number one in 83 different countries all over the world. Season 4 of ‘Stranger Things’ held the previous record with a viewership of over 335 million hours in a single week from May 30 to June 5. ‘Stranger Things 4’ still has the record for the most-watched Netflix English-language series in its first 28 days on the platform, with viewership around 1.35 billion hours.
‘Wednesday’, the 8-episode series, is about Wednesday Addams and the Addams family. It stars Jenna Ortega in the titular role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman. Tim Burton has directed and produced this series.
