Dusshera or Vijaydashmi is being celebrated across the nation with full fervour. The occasion marks the victory of good over evil. On this day, Ravana effigies are burnt, followed by fireworks. Several celebrities took to social media to extend best wishes to everyone including Anushka Sharma, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Ayushmann Khurrana and others.

Anushka Sharma, who is currently prepping for her forthcoming Netflix film ‘Chakda 'Xpress’, took to Instagram to wish her fans and shared an animated post that simply read, ‘Happy Dusshera’. 

Amitabh Bachchan shared a short video on his Instagram and wrote, ‘दशहरा की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं.’ (Best wishes for Dusshera). 

Ayushmann Khurrana shared a post in Hindi, featuring Lord Ram and Raavan, to wish his fans Happy Vijaydashmi. 

Priyanka Chopra shared an animated post on Instagram stories, which read, ‘Let your light fight the darkness.’ 

Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram and reshared a post from BJP’s official handle, which featured Lord Rama defeating Ravana.

Kiara Advani, Shilpa Shetty, Anupam Kher are among others who have extended their best wishes on Instagram.
