Speaking at the Curtain Raiser event of the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2022, an annual flagship event organised by TERI, Bharat Lal, Director for the govt's Jal Jeevan Mission said, the water crisis in the country has to be seen from the equity and inclusiveness point of view as well. Adding that the govt's massive is that "no one should be left out", he said, is crucial that we work towards multi-faceted sustainable solutions. Solutions have to be worked out in four key areas, which include, improving water storage capacity, water use efficiency to avoid wastage, treatment of waste water, so that it is not a carrier for diseases, and finally, sensitization of people, which has to be a collaborative effort between govt and people.
