Sanctions on Russia are not only going to hit Putin government or Oligarchs. Even the furry feline are not spared of the Cat-astrophic curbs.
As a number of countries imposed severe sanctions on Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine, Russia cats have also come in the line of fire.
International cat fancier society Federation Internationale Feline has imposed restrictions on cats bred in Russia in response to Moscow's war on Ukraine.

The NGO has said that they were "shocked and horrified" by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and they felt they cannot just witness these "atrocities" and do nothing.
The NGO has decided that no cat bred in Russia may be imported or registered in any of its books outside Russia. It further added that no cat belonging to exhibitors living in Russia may be entered at any of its show outside Russia. The federation said that these restrictions will be in place till May 31 and then will be reviewed.
