At least four football associations, according to Brazil media removed barricades in the form of tires from roads, ahead of a game.
These clubs are being hailed as pro-democracy symbols for acting against chaos.
In the wake of massive disruptions that led to flight cancellations, fuel shortage, Brazil's Supreme Court on November 1 ordered the federal highway police to immediately clear hundreds of roads across the country blocked by truck drivers protesting President Jair Bolsonaro's loss in the October 30 election.
The highway police in response claimed to have removed 600 blockades, contrary to purported videos on social media that showed police encouraging the protest.
Top court's November 1 ruling also accused the highway police of “omission and inertia".
