After replacing Dilip Ghosh as new West Bengal BJP president, Sukanta Majumdar on Tuesday said he will fight against the “Talibanisation of the state” taking an apparent dig at TMC’s alleged appeasement politics.
While addressing the felicitation ceremony at the party’s state headquarters, Majumdar further said that the party will rectify its mistakes and expressed confidence that it will emerge victorious in coming days.

The state party president wasn’t keen to attach much importance to the defections plaguing the saffron camp. Majumdar hit out at the MLAs and MP who returned or joined the TMC after the state assembly poll results and said those deserting BJP can never harm the party.
Majumdar, the Lok Sabha MP from Balurghat was appointed the state party chief amid infighting and exodus to the TMC.
