Watch: Indian Air Force rescues people stuck in Andhra floods

The Indian Air Force was pressed into action for rescue and relief operations as heavy rains caused floods in Andhra Pradesh. 

Indian Air Force's Mi-17 helicopter evacuated ten people stuck in the rising waters of Chitravati river in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh. 

The video shows people climbing on to the top of an earth mover to save themselves from the swollen river and the IAF helicoper lowering down a rope to airlift the stranded people

According to Indian Meteorological Department rains are expected to continue in parts of Andhra Pradesh including Anantapur, Kadapa, Chittoor and Visakhapatnam.
