Polling stations opened in New York, New Jersey and Virginia early Tuesday marking the start of US Election Day. Nearly 100 million Americans had already cast ballots by Tuesday. A divisive US election campaign will finally be concluded today. Republican President Donald Trump seeks to overcome Democratic rival Joe Biden's lead in opinion polls to win another four year term. The results of one of the most bitterly fought elections in US history will start trickling in from late Tuesday evening, most likely after 8pm Eastern Standard Time. The result will pronounce the judgment of the Americans on Trump and his rather brash presidency.
