Twitter has rolled out a redesign on the app and website, including a new font. Twitter’s own ‘Chirp’ font is now the default typeface used everywhere, as one part of a design refresh the website announced back in January.

The website interface has also been redesigned, and now uses a lot less of Twitter’s blue colour. The changes haven’t rolled out to all users across the app and website yet, but should do so soon.

Twitter users were not happy with the change, with some complaining about the new font being difficult to look at, or even giving them headaches.

Twitter has said that while the changes may seem weird at first, the new updates make the website ‘more accessible, unique, and focused’.
