Fireworks and lights beamed into the night sky from Tokyo's National Stadium, as the Olympics drew to a close.

After giving it their all for 16 days, the Indian Olympic contingent looked relaxed during the Closing Ceremony. Bronze medallist Bajrang Punia was India's flag bearer as the day marked the end of India's most successful Games in history, with 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.

The Indian athletes were seen dancing and also posed for pictures. The ceremony took place in a stadium devoid of spectators, because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
