The Tamil Nadu government has ordered Covid testing at all colleges and universities after a spurt in cases at IIT Madras. Eight more students of IIT-Madras have tested positive for coronavirus, pushing the total cases at the premier engineering institute close to 200. Close to 1,000 IIT students and mess workers have been tested so far. Six students have tested positive for the virus at Anna University too. IIT Madras authorities have blamed the surge on the hostel mess. The administration is now sending packed food to students at hostels.
