Twitter faced outages on Friday, with over 40,000 users reporting issues with the micro-blogging service on outage-tracker Downdetector. Reports say around 2,000 users in India reported issues with Twitter around midnight, complaining that they were unable to use the service on Android and iOS devices.
While user reports suggest that the outage also affected website users, Twitter Support tweeted acknowledging the issue soon after trouble began. The firm said a technical bug was preventing timelines from loading and tweets from loading.
It's worth noting that Twitter faced a similar outage last month, which it fixed after user reports on services like Downdetector.
