When Apple introduced the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic island, we all knew that it would be the most copied feature on a lot of new Android phones.
Realme has now openly embraced this concept and has launched the "Realme Island – Creators Challenge" contest on its community forum.
It is asking its fans for ideas on how it could implement a copy of Dynamic Island on its Android skin called Realme UI.
The company claims that the proposed software feature would turn the camera cutout into a multifunctional portal.
Just like it is done on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, Realme hopes that its implementation of this feature would make the UI around the camera hole change into different shapes and sizes to display incoming phone calls, alerts, notifications, and more.
Participants of the Realme Island – Creators Challenge can share drawings, GIFs, or text detailing the appearance and functionality of a prospective Realme Island.
Realme would select the top three suggestions based on their creativity, thoroughness, and viability, and conduct a poll on its official Facebook or Instagram page.
Realme said that its UI engineers will explore implementing the most popular proposal in the future.
