According to the analytics firm Similarweb, Microsoft's inclusion of OpenAI technology into Bing has aided the search engine's ability to compete with Google in terms of page visit growth. Page views on Bing have increased by 15.8% since the AI-powered version was published in February on the other hand Google has decreased by less than 1%.

This breakthrough provides Microsoft with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get a hold of the $120 billion search business, which is controlled by Google with a market share of more than 80%. Bing's AI integration has also increased app downloads eightfold internationally whereas Google's chatbot was just recently made public. However other experts feel Google's ranking mechanism might help it keep its dominance in the search race.
