Dell has launched the Dell 14S in India, a lightweight laptop aimed at students and young professionals. It gets an aluminium chassis, Intel Core 5 and Core 7 Series 3 processors, display options going up to a 2.8K 120Hz panel, and a claimed battery life of up to 21 hours of Netflix streaming.
The Dell 14S starts at ₹79,990 and comes in Linen, Dusty Rose, Washed Denim and Velvet Green finishes.
The Dell 14S has a three-piece aluminium chassis that measures 13.5mm thick and starts at 1.15kg. It also gets a backlit, spill-resistant keyboard.
Buyers can choose between two 14-inch, 16:10 display options. The higher-end configuration gets a 2.8K panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 450 nits of brightness. There is also a 2K, 60Hz option with up to 300 nits of brightness. Dolby Atmos support is included for movies, music and streaming content.
The laptop is powered by Intel Core 5 and Core 7 Series 3 processors, with an NPU rated at up to 17 TOPS for local AI workloads. It can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.
Dell claims up to 21 hours of Netflix streaming on a single charge. The laptop uses a 750ED PNCM battery, which the company says is engineered to retain capacity over time while staying compact.
Other features include a 1080p webcam, far-field dual-array microphones, two 2W stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, Windows Hello and Microsoft Pluton security. Port selection includes two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports with DisplayPort and power delivery, HDMI and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Dell 14S starts at ₹79,990, inclusive of taxes. Introductory offers include up to ₹10,000 off with select credit cards, zero-down-payment and zero-interest financing through select banks and NBFCs, and one-year Accidental Damage Protection for ₹499.
All four colours are now available through Dell’s online store. The Linen variant is also available through Dell Exclusive Stores, large-format retailers and e-commerce platforms. Washed Denim, Dusty Rose and Velvet Green will reach these offline and e-commerce channels by the end of November.
