As telecom companies and smartphone makers work together to promote 5G in India, scammers are taking advantage of the situation to trick users who don't know what's going on into giving them their banking information by saying they can help them switch from 4G to 5G.

Since the number of scams is going up, the Mumbai Police has warned people about them so that more people don't fall for them.

Mumbai police also explained how scammers trick users who don't know what's going on. It said that scammers call users who don't know what's going on and pretend to be executives from telecom companies. They say they can help users upgrade from 4G to 5G.

As part of the scam, the scammers also send out malicious links that they can use to steal users' banking information. In some cases, they even convince users who didn't know what was going on to give them their personal and banking information.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, two of India's biggest phone companies, have just started to roll out their 5G services. Airtel's 5G Plus network is available in Delhi, Varanasi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Siliguri, and Nagpur. Jio's True 5G network is available for beta testing in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi.
