Singer Taylor Swift is the most influential person on Twitter, surpassing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to an annual research carried out by consumer intelligence company Brandwatch.
Taylor topped the chart with 88.9 million followers, while PM Modi is at number two with about 72 million followers, in the list of the 50 most influential people on Twitter this year.

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar is at number 35. The legendary right-hander ranked above the Hollywood biggies like Dwayne Johnson and Leonardo Di Caprio, and also former US first lady Michelle Obama among others.
Singer Katy Perry bagged the third sport, while SpaceX and Tesla boss Elon Musk held the fourth spot, consecutively for the second year in a row.
