Star of dystopian Korean drama 'Squid Game' on Netflix, actor Jung Ho-Yeon has shot to fame, almost overnight, as the show's popularity keeps growing.

Yeon is now the most followed Korean actress on Instagram, with her followers rising from 400k to 13.2 million in a span of weeks. Yeon has crossed Lee Sung-Kyung and Song Hye-Kyo who are also insanely popular on the platform.

Jung Ho-yeon plays the role of Kang Sae-byeok aka player 067 in the survival drama, which has also become one of Netflix's most-watched shows worldwide.

The 9-episode Korean drama follows a group of people who are invited to risk their lives in a survival game, with a huge prize at the end. However, they get the shock of their life when they realise that losing the game equates to getting killed. The series then shows how these people go to any extent to ensure their survival.
