Spyware row: Trinamool MP snatches Pegasus statement from IT minister, tears it

Electronics and Information Technology Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, was forced to cut short his statement on Pegasus snooping controversy in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday amid protests by the opposition members.

Trinamool MP Shantanu Sen snatched the statement paper from Vaishnaw’s hand and threw it towards the Deputy Chairman.

For the third straight day of the monsoon session high drama continued in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha as opposition MPs led protests against the newly implemented farms laws and the alleged snooping by the Centre using the Pegasus spyware

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till Friday
