Wrestlers vs Federation: Mary Kom to head five-member oversight committee

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur announced the names of the five-member oversight committee, which will probe sexual harassment allegations against WFI president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. 

Veteran boxer Mary Kom will head the five-member panel, which also includes London Olympics Bronze medallist Yogeshwar Dutt, former shuttler Trupti Murgunder, TOPS former CEO Rajesh Rajagopalan and former SAI teams division Radhica Shreeman.

The government-appointed Committee will also run the day-to-day affairs of WFI for the next one month.

After a three-day protest by wrestlers led by Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik last week, Sports Minister Thakur decided to form an Oversight committee on Saturday.
