Wrestlers vs Federation: WFI's emergency general meeting called off

Amid the Sports Ministry crackdown, the Wrestling Federation of India's emergency general council meeting, which was supposed to be held on January 22 in Ayodhya, has been called off. 

WFI chief Brijbhushan Sharan Singh who has been asked to step aside had called a meeting of the federation's general council where he said that the players' allegations against the federation would be discussed in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Sports Ministry is expected to announce the names of its oversight committee members on January 22. The oversight committee will probe the allegations of sexual harassment and corruption against WFI president Brijbhushan.
