As the war between Ukraine and Russia enters the 4th week, a number of Ukrainian sports stars have come in to defend their nation against Russia's siege. After the famous Klitschko brothers who once set the boxing ring on fire, it is the turn of Ukrainian tennis star Alexandr Dolgopolov to swap his racket for a gun to help defend Kyiv.

Dolgopolov who reached a career-high individual ranking of 13, was forced to retire from the sport last year due to a wrist injury and is now walking the streets of Kyiv to defend the capital against the invading Russian armada. He posted a picture on Instagram announcing his return to defend his country which attracted a lot of reactions from his fans.

Many Ukrainian sports starts including Dolgopolov & the famous Klitschko brothers are manning the streets of Kyiv to defend the capital city against the invasion as it enters its 4th week. Thousands have been killed and millions have been displaced due to the war which is far from over.
